Gorica leave it late
Two second-half strikes saw Slovenian champions NK Gorica build a solid lead in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie with SK Tirana.
Gorica cushion
Nebojsa Kovacevic opened the scoring after the break, before Valter Birsa doubled the lead to give the home team a useful cushion to defend when they travel to Tirana in Albania next week in their quest to make it through to the second qualifying round.
CSKA Sofia next
PFC CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria will provide a stern test for the aggregate winners of this tie. Gorica came within two games of reaching the competition's group stage last term before a 9-0 aggregate defeat by AS Monaco FC.
